Collaborative projects are always those masterpieces that you always have to look out for, especially in the hip-hop scene — they tend to bring together a group of talented artistes to showcase their art in ways they feel better explains their demeanor on the mic and what they feel at that moment of creating music.
4 rappers; Suspect 5, Jorge Imara, B-Flex, and C-Major collaborated on “All is Forgiven” which comes off as the first single off Jorge Imara’s forthcoming project titled “Breakthru” and each artiste potentially contributes to see that the song comes to life.
“All Is Forgiven” is produced by George Wabweyo recorded by Verd Ellope and mixed and mastered by Patrick Ssemanja (OnePatoh).
“The inspiration for the song comes from everyday struggles, pain, betrayal, etc. Also contextually, it’s a New Year and a chance to live things behind and not carry baggage,” George Wabweyo, the producer of “All is Forgiven” says, adding that “every emcee on that song had personal pain or experiences than anyone out here can relate to. Conceptually, I killed the drums and decided to run with no drums…because I felt like people just need to hear the words and let the mood the song gives off settle in”
On the concept of the song, George says the song was done as a dare; “We could strip this song off the usual pompous, glamorous and braggart hip hop narratives, be sincere to ourselves on it and still get people to listen to it. The song is longer than the usual radio friendly tracks because we wanted it to be personal…like something you put on your phone and listen to in times when you are feeling down and you know that you are not alone in this.”
