Record TV Launches New Soap Opera “Slave Isaura” At Fun Filled Tea Party

As the clouds let loose on Saturday evening, Record TV Uganda warmed guests to a sumptuous tea party as they launched a new soap opera titled “Slave Isaura” at Golf Course Hotel an effort to reinvigorate the TV channel.

According to Record TV Managing Director, Ezekiel Motsoeneng, the soap opera is just one of the many exciting shows they’re rolling out this year. He noted that the television is now back on its feet to cater for a much wider audience.

“Record TV Uganda has enjoyed glorious days but has also suffered heavy set backs,” he noted. “This marks our first steps towards a change. We hope our viewers can continue with us on this journey”, he stated.

Slave Isaura, which premieres on Record TV on Wednesday, July 26 at 8pm, tells the story of a slave girl and her struggles to win her freedom from her master at a coffee plantation.

The launch ceremony was graced by musician Angella Katatumba, who is also the acting Honorary Consul of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Uganda as the guest of honor. She expressed excitement about the soap opera noting that such stories are important for the development of our society because it is not just entertaining but also educational.
