His 5th studio album ‘Strength In Numbers’ features Khaligraph Jones, Flex d’Paper, Seyi Shay, Sheila Wya, Vanessa Mdee, Burna Boy, The Mith among others.
‘Strength In Numbers’ is Navio’s 1st big project in 5 years — and is packed with some new and his old bangers like Gbesile with Burna Boy which was released in 2016, Paper with Ice Prince and The Mith from 2018.
Navio’s timing of his 5th album releases comes at a time when the world is facing a pandemic that has made socialising very difficult. The rapper’s decision to host an online live concert on Facebook and YouTube seeks to tap into his immerse online audience and move the album.
The 36-year-old rapper believes his new album will unite African musicians through the diversity of sound.
“I wake up wanting to hear Congo music, lunchtime I might play some Senegalese joints, in the afternoon I’m bumping an album from Morocco to Namibia. Living peacefully with our diversity is our most treasured African trait. Diversity of sound is where our identity lies,” MBU quotes Navio.
